The Beginning: A Weekend That Changed Everything

In 2019, I booked a flight to Sydney with one intention: to dive deeper into energy healing. Over two beautiful weekends, I completed my Reiki Level 1 and 2 with an incredible Reiki Master who I felt deeply aligned with.
Those weekends were more than just training—they were soul-nourishing. We laughed, we learned, we breathed. I had one of the most powerful breathwork sessions of my life during that time, and it cracked something open in me. It wasn’t just about learning Reiki—it was a full-body remembering.

The Pause: When the Timing Just Isn’t Right

Then, life shifted. COVID came, borders closed, and my Reiki Master journey went on pause.

I had every intention of continuing—but the energy wasn’t right. I truly believe that when it comes to Reiki, you don’t chase it. You wait. You tune in. You follow the whispers. You find the right person and the right time.

Over the next few years, I was growing—personally, spiritually, professionally. I transitioned fully into self-employment, deepened my breathwork and sound healing practice, and built a business that felt aligned with who I am. And still, that quiet nudge toward Reiki Mastery lingered.

The Alignment: A Yes From the Soul

For a while, I’d been keeping an eye out—exploring different Reiki Master trainers, but none quite felt right. And then it happened.
Someone I’d followed for years, Olivia Scott, shared on Instagram that she was running her final Reiki Master training for a while before taking time off for her pregnancy.

That post landed like a lightning bolt. I didn’t hesitate. I booked in.

It was time. My energy, my business, my readiness—it had all aligned.

The Day: Sunlight, Energy, and Expansion

I drove up to Matakana, an hour away from Auckland, on a Sunday morning after a week of rain. As if the universe was smiling down, the clouds parted and the sun shone brightly for the first time in days.

What followed was a day of deep connection, sacred ritual, and powerful attunement. The energy was open, grounded, and utterly delicious. Olivia held the space beautifully, and the entire experience felt like a soft yet powerful upgrade to my entire being.

The Integration: A New Beginning

Becoming a Reiki Master isn’t an ending. It’s not a finish line. It’s an integration. A deepening. A levelling up.

It’s the moment where your practice becomes even more embodied, where the channels feel clearer, and where your soul takes a seat in deeper knowing.

I’m so excited for what this next chapter brings—for me, for my clients, and for the energy work I’m honoured to share.

If you’re ever considering Reiki training, my biggest advice is this:

Wait for the right time. Find the right person. Trust the energy.

You’ll know when it’s time to say yes.
